Utah Jazz Hitting All The Right Notes
The Utah Jazz are on fire right now. After winning 6-straight, Utah is the hottest team in the league right now. The Jazz are 22-20 overall, but after winning 9 of their last 10, including the 6-game streak, Utah is climbing up the standings. They are currently 9th in the West, winning 15 of their last 20, and averaging 128.0 points per game over their last 10. But Utah’s incredible run is in jeopardy, as they face the 2nd best team in the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder are 27-13, putting them 6 games up on the Jazz, but OKC has stumbled in recently.
I’m expecting a close game, but I have to go with the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are on a scoring tear, averaging 130.8 points per game over their 6-game winning streak. Utah also protects their home court well, posting a 15-5 record and 9-straight wins at home. Conversely, OKC is not great on the road, posting an 11-8 record overall after back-to-back road losses in their last 2 games. To make matters worse for the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in a slump. SGA is OKC’s best scorer, and if he’s not hitting, the Thunder are in trouble. The Jazz on the other hand rely on a trio of scorers: Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, and Collin Sexton, who have all been on fire during Utah’s win streak.
So for our Thunder vs. Jazz expert pick, go with the Utah Jazz Moneyline (+136) on Thursday.
