Undefeated Mavericks Takes On The Reigning Champs

The Dallas Mavericks are the only undefeated team left in the West. At 4-0, the Mavs are playing inspired basketball, averaging 122.5 points per game, while holding opponents to 113.5 points. Luka Doncic is playing out of his mind, leading Dallas in points (33.8), rebounds (10.5), assists (9.8), and steals (1.3). Luka is the NBA’s leading scorer right now, and will look to lead the Mavericks to victory in the hostile environment of the Denver Nuggets. 

The Nuggets are 4-1, but remain undefeated at home. Last season, Denver won over 82% of their home games (34-7), and now have the privilege of playing their first game of the In-Season Tournament at home. Dallas may be undefeated in the regular season, but the Mavs will be hard pressed to win their first Group Stage matchup.

I’m going with the Denver Nuggets in this one. It’s best not to bet against the Nuggets at home, especially if they’re favored. Last season Denver went 31-20-1 against the spread at home, giving them a 60% chance to cover. Luka’s Mavericks are a good team, but no one beats the champs at home.
