The Heat and the Nets will take each other on here. These two teams had vastly different deadlines. The Nets blew up their entire team while the Heat were criticized for not making a move. The Nets are coming off of the trade deadline where they traded both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and gave up both superstars. They got back a lot of assets though and I think they still get into the playoffs since they are already 33-24 on the season. They are still two games ahead of the Play In game. They have lost six of their last four games though and two in a row. They have a ton of quality players but just don’t have the bonafide number one guy.

The Heat are 32-26 on the season and just behind the Nets. They have been heavily criticized by the media and fans alike for not making a move at the trade deadline. This team was very close to making the Finals last year and just seems content with running it back with the same team despite the fact that most of the East got better. They are 6-4 in their last ten games. They have been much better lately though as they started the season 12-15 and are 20-11 since then. The Heat are coming off of a tough close loss to the Nuggets.

I like the Heat here. They are playing a team that is obviously struggling with some chemistry issues here in the Nets. The Nets have not covered in either of their last two games. The Heat know how big of a game this is as the Nets are ahead of them in the East by 1.5 games. This is big because it will distance them from the Play In tournament a bit more. Another big reason I love the Heat here is purely because of the talent gap. The Heat probably will have the three best players on the court in this game in Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Tyler Herro. They combine to average 64 points a game this season. This team is just way better than the Nets and I think they know this is a huge game, especially being this close to the All Star break.

Final Score Prediction: Heat 117-109
