The Denver Nuggets will travel to the Footprint Center take on the Phoenix Suns in game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals (10:00 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Nuggets have all the confidence in the world right now in this tough series. In game 5, the Nuggets won 118-102 dominating late in the game. Now, Denver is up 3-2 in the series and have a chance to eliminate the Suns in Phoenix. Meanwhile, the Suns are in trouble in this series down 3-2 after not being able to close out last game. Phoenix has their backs up against the wall and it is do or die these next two games. One good thing for Phoenix is that every team at home has won in this series. Look to see if the Suns can keep that true and force game 7.

Denver Nuggets Basketball

The Nuggets have all the confidence in the world right now in this series after winning a huge game at home in game 5. Every home team has won in this series so Denver will try to break that streak and end the Suns season in Phoenix in front of their fans. Denver cannot afford Phoenix to win game 6 and force a game 7. Denver has the momentum right now and needs to finish Phoenix right when they’re low.

The Nuggets have been led by Nikola Jokic, who leads the team in points, rebounds, and assists. Jokic is averaging 30.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 9.5 assists a game this postseason. Jamal Murray has helped out Jokic this postseason offensively averaging 25.9 points and 6.7 assists a game. Michael Porter Jr. has been solid this postseason averaging 14.9 points and 7.8 rebounds. Finally, Aaron Gordon has stepped up this postseason averaging 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds. This is a scary team with lots of contributors on the glass and on offense.

In their win against the Suns in game 5, Jokic had a monster game finishing with a triple-double scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. Murray helped Jokic finishing with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Bruce Brown off the bench had a monster game finishing with 25 points. In the win, the Nuggets shot 49.4% from the floor and 48.1% from the three-point line.

Phoenix Suns Basketball

This is a huge game for the Suns at home in this game. They desperately need this win as their season is on the line. They need to figure something out to stop or contain Jokic. Phoenix cannot afford for Jokic to go off for a triple-double or a double-double again. The Suns either need to focus on Jokic only and let the rest of the Nuggets make plays or allow Jokic to do anything he wants and focus on stopping everyone else.

The Suns have a bunch of players on their team that have been balling out this postseason. Phoenix has been led by Devin Booker in this years playoffs. Booker is averaging 35.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.1 assists. Also, newly acquired Kevin Durant has been great for Phoenix averaging 29.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists this postseason. Deandre Ayton is doing his thing averaging 13.4 points and 9.7 rebounds a game.

In their loss against the Nuggets in game 5,  Booker and Durant did their thing combining for 50 points. Booker finished with 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Durant finished with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. The problem in this game is that no one else helped these two. The Suns bench has been horrible this season and in the postseason. Plus, the Suns defense has also been terrible as they cannot stop Nikola Jokic. In the loss, the Suns shot 43.2% from the floor and 33.3% from the three-point line.

Nuggets vs. Suns Prediction

This is an easy prop for me to play. I love Nikola Jokic over 29.5 points. No one on the Suns can stop him. Every game in this serious he done gamage to Phoenix. I think he easily scores 30+ in this game. I know they are on the road and Denver has yet to win a game in Phoenix in this series. I just think the Nuggets close this series out and eliminate the Suns. Jokic has a monster game for Denver and single handely eliminates Phoenix.

Nuggets vs. Suns Prop Pick: Nikola Jokic over 29.5 points (-127).
