New York has struggled this series playing in the Kaseya Center. Look to see if they can turn it around now that they have some confidence with them. If the Knicks want to win they need Randle and Hart to step up and provide big minutes.
The Knicks have been led by Jalen Brunson, who leads the team in points and assists. Brunson is averaging 26.5 points and 5.9 assists a game this postseason. Big man Julius Randle has helped Brunson in the playoffs averaging 16.8 points and 8.0 rebounds a game this postseason. RJ Barrett has also stepped up this postseason playing his best basketball averaging 20.1 points a game. Josh Hart has been a great addition to the team as this postseason he is averaging 10.3 points and 7.4 rebounds.
In their win against the Heat in game 5, the Knicks got great performances from their top three players. Brunson had a monster game finishing with 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. Barrett stepped up finishing with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Randle finally had a godd game for once finishing with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. For the Knicks to win this series they will need Randle to keep on playing like this. He has struggled all series, but we have seen that if he has a good game the Knicks will win. In the win, the Knick shot 49.5% from the floor and 38.2% from the three-point line.
Miami Heat Basketball
Miami is looking to end this series once and for all ater failing to do it in New York. The Heat shouldn’t be losing one ounce of confidence after game 5. The Knicks have not won a game in Miami yet in this series. Plus, the Heat have looked dominant in this series. Look for them to come out ready to play in front of a rowdy Kaseya Center. They cannot afford the Knicks to win this game and force a game 7 in New York.
The Heat have been led by Jimmy Butler, who leads the team in points. Butler is averaging 31.9 points and 5.6 assists a game in the playoffs. Big man Bam Adebayo has been helping Butler this postseason averaging 17.6 points and 9.2 rebounds a game this season. Gabe Vincent has stepped for Miami in this series averaging 12.0 points and 4.8 assists a game.
In their loss against the Knicks in game 5, everyone struggled. Butler tried his best finishing with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. Adebayo finished right behind him with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Duncan Robinson stepped up coming off the bench finishing with 17 points. He shot 5-10 from the three-point line. They just could not get a lot of scoring from their top guys or role players. Plus, they struggled on defense stopping the Knicks big three.
