Cavaliers vs. Hawks

The Cleveland Cavaliers will travel to the State Farm Arena to face the Atlanta Hawks in a Eastern Conference matchup (7:30 p.m. ET). The Cavaliers are on a roll as they are currently on a four-game winning streak. Cleveland will look to add to their win streak in this one. On Sunday night the Cavaliers defeated the Houston Rockets 108-91. Cleveland has now won four of their last five games. Meanwhile, The Hawks need to start a winning streak of their own as they have not been able to carry any momentum. Atlanta keeps winning one game then losing the other. On Sunday night the Hawks lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 123-119. They have now lost three of their last five games.

With a 48-28 record on the season and a 31-15 record in conference play, the Cavaliers are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Cleveland has been dominant as of late with an 8-2 record in their last ten games. With their win on Tuesday the Cavaliers clinched a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Look to see how Cleveland plays in this game though as they have been shaky on the road this year with a 18-20 record as the away team. The Cavaliers will try to keep their winning streak alive on the road in this one.

The Cavaliers have had a lot of players step up for them this season. Cleveland has been led by Donovan Mitchell this season as he leads the team in points. This season Mitchell is averaging 27.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Darius Garland has helped Mitchell in the backcourt as he is averaging 21.6 points and 7.8 assists a game this season. Evan Mobley and Jarret Allen have been huge pieces for the Cavliers also. These two big men are putting up incredible numbers for the Cavaliers. Mobley is averaging 16.3 points and 8.9 rebounds, while Allen is averaging 14.4 points and 9.9 rebounds.

In their win against the Rockets at home, Allen led the way having a monster game finishing with a double-double scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Mitchell was right behind him finishing with 22 points and 5 assists. Mobley did everything finishing with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. In the win, the Cavaliers shot 47.0% from the floor and 30.0% from the three-point line.

Atlanta Hawks Basketball

Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers Nov 21, 2022 Game - Scores, Stats & Highlights | NBA.com

With a 37-38 record on the season and a 23-23 record in conference play, the Hawks are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta just has not been able to get carry their momentum after a win. The Hawks desperately need to start stacking wins at they are currently in the Playoff play-in game. Good thing though is that Atlanta has been good at home this season. They are 21-16 in the State Farm Arena on the season and will look pick up a much needed win against the Cavaliers in this one.

The Atlanta Hawks have been led by Trae Young, who leads the team in points and assists. Young is averaging 26.6 points and 10.0 rebounds a game this season. His back court partner Dejounte Murray has been incredible this season averaging 20.4 points and 6.4 assists a game. De’Andre Hunter has stepped up offensively for the Hawks this season averaging 15.5 points a game.

In their loss against the Grizzlies, Young led the way for the Hawks finishing with a double-double scoring 28 points and passing out 10 assists. Clint Capela also had a double-double scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Atlanta just had a hard time stopping the backcourt of Ja Morant and Desmond Bane. In the loss, the Hawks shot 45.9% from the floor and 22.6% from the three-point line.

Cavaliers vs. Hawks Prediction

One prop I really like in this game is Clint Capela to not put up a double-double in this game. I think the presence of Mobley and Allen makes Capela struggle. Capela has not even come close to putting up a double-double against the Cavaliers in the two games he has played against them this year. Also, he is coming off of a monster game against the Grizzlies where he put up 18 points and 16 rebounds. With Cleveland’s bigs in Allen and Mobley I think they shutdown Capela in this one.

Cavaliers vs. Hawks Pick: Clint Capela No Double Double (-117).
