Hawks vs. Bulls

Hawks vs. Bulls

The Atlanta Hawks will travel to the United Center to face the Chicago Bulls in a matchup where both teams are in desperate need of win (8:00 p.m. ET). The Hawks are looking to add on to their 132-130 overtime win against the Dallas Mavericks. Atlanta has now won three of their last five games. They just cannot start a winning streak as they keep on winning one game then losing the next. Meanwhile, Chicago is looking to add on to their two-game winning streak after defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 128-107. The Bulls have now won three of their last five games.

Atlanta Hawks Basketball

With a 39-39 record on the season and a 24-24 record in conference play, the Hawks are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta just has not been able to get carry their momentum after a win, as they are 5-5 in their last ten games. The Hawks desperately need to start stacking wins at they are currently in the Playoff play-in game. A bad thing though is that Atlanta has been bad on the road this season. They are 16-23 as the away team this season. Look to see if they can clinch a spot in the play-in game as the eighth seed.

The Atlanta Hawks have been led by Trae Young, who leads the team in points and assists. Young is averaging 26.2 points and 9.9 rebounds a game this season. His back court partner Dejounte Murray has been incredible this season averaging 20.6 points and 6.1 assists a game. De’Andre Hunter has stepped up offensively for the Hawks this season averaging 15.4 points a game.

In their win against the Mavericks at home, Murray led the way with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Young was right behind him with 24 points and 12 assists. John Collins had a monster game finishing with a double-double scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. With 1.1 seconds left in overtime the game was tied 130-130 until Kyrie Irving tried to steal the ball from Young and got called for a reach in foul, which sent Young to the line where he made both free throws to win the game. In the win, the Hawks shot 47.2% from the floor and 34.3% from the three-point line.

Chicago Bulls Basketball

With a 38-40 record on the season and a 26-23 record in conference play, the Bulls are currently in tenth place in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls have been red-hot as of late with a 7-3 record in their last ten games. Chicago desperately needs a win as they are just barely in the Playoff play-in game. They are trying to stack some wins on top of eachother and clinch a play-in game spot. Lucky for them they have been good at home as they are 21-18 in the United Center this season. Look for them to continue their dominance at home and move up to the eighth or ninth seed potentially.

The Bulls have been led by Zach LaVine, who leads the team in points. LaVine is averaging 25.1 points a game this season. DeMar DeRozan has been helping out LaVine this season averaging 24.9 points and 5.1 assists a game this season. Big man Nikola Vucevic has also stepped up this season averaging 17.7 points and 11.1 rebounds a game.

In their win the Grizzlies at home, LaVine and DeRozan both went off combining for 67 points. LaVine led the Bulls in scoring finishing with 36 points and 9 assists. DeRozan was right behind him finishing with 31 points and 7 assists. Off of the bench Coby White had a stellar game finishing with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Vucevic finished with a double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. In the win, the Bulls shot 53.2% from the floor and 29.0% from the three-point line.

Hawks vs. Bulls Prediction

I love Zach LaVineover 27.5 points in this game. LaVine has been red-hot for the Bulls and has been playing great basketball. He has scored 20+ plus points in four of his last five games. Plus, two of those games have been 30+ point games. LaVine will have to score a lot too in this game too match the Hawks electric offense. LaVine over 27.5 points is the prop play in this game.

Hawks vs. Bulls Prop Pick: Zach LaVine Over 27.5 points (-113).
