The 76ers Are Back Home

The Philadelphia 76ers will host the Atlanta Hawks in an Eastern Conference clash tomorrow night. The Sixers are 13-7 and are returning home after a short 3-game road trip where they went 1-2. The Hawks are 9-11, 4 games back on the Sixers, and cling to a slim hold on a top-10 spot in the East. Philadelphia began the season 8-2, but in their last 10, the Sixers went 5-5. Philly remains a top-shelf team, but could be on upset watch against an Atlanta Hawks team that knows how to score the basketball. 

The Hawks offense is one of the best in the East, but they play poor defense, so I’m going with the 76ers in this one. Atlanta is giving up 122.4 points per game, which won’t cut it against Joel Embiid and the 76ers. Philly is averaging 120.7 points per game, and scored 130+ in 2 of their last 4. The NBA’s leading scorer, Joel Embiid, is putting up 33.1 points per game, and is coming off a 50 point performance against the Wizards. The Hawks don’t have an answer for Embiid, and the reigning MVP will lead the Sixers to another win.
