Tommy D. back with online sports bet, America’s favorite sports information channel.

It’s Sunday, March 21, Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Arkansas Razorbacks College basketball picks and prediction report. This game tips off at 6:10 PM EST tonight at Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana, where Texas Tech and Arkansas are set to clash in an NCAA South Region second-round battle.

The No.6 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders (18-10 SU, 11-17 ATS) and the No.3 seed Arkansas Razorbacks (23-6 SU, 19-9 ATS) both pulled away in the second half of their first-round NCAA Tournament games. Both teams managed to cover the spread on Friday when Arkansas earned an 85-68 win over Colgate, and Texas Tech got a 65-53 win against Utah State in their last outings.

Let’s get back to the Texas Tech vs. Arkansas NCAAM basketball spread and predictions courtesy of Betonline, where the Red Raiders are slight 1- 1-point favorites with a total of 140.5.

Texas Tech is looking for its third straight Sweet 16 appearance. They were losing to the 11th-seeded Utah State Aggies 26-23 at halftime of their first-round matchup, but whatever coach Chris Beard told his players at the break paid off, as they woke up quickly and dominated the Aggies in a 65-53 victory. Behind 16 points from Mac McClung and 12 points along with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals from Kyler Edwards, the Red Raiders rallied to beat the number as 4-point favorites. Mac McClung is the team’s top scorer with 15.8 points per game. But besides McClung’s obvious impact on the scoreboard, the Red Raiders have three other double-digit scorers in Kyler Edwards, Kevin McCullar, and Terrence Shannon.

The Razorbacks looked like they might be in even bigger trouble than the Red Raiders during their opening 20 minutes vs. the 14th-seeded Colgate Raiders. They were trailing 33-19 with 5:30 remaining in the first half. But Arkansas finally found its groove and ended the half on an impressive 17-0 run. Justin Smith got 29 points and 13 rebounds in an 85-63 victory to cover an 8.5 spread. The opportunistic Arkansas offense has averaged 82.5 points per game and 75.3 possessions per game this season, ranking the Razorbacks seventh and eighth nationally in those categories.

Taking everything into account, it looks like this matchup will be close until the final minutes, so I’ll go with the Razorbacks to cover the spread in this competitive game.
