Struggling Spurs go into the Hornets’ nest
The Spurs have now lost three straight games. They are now two games behind that play-in spot. They are playing close games though. Over there last three games they’ve lost two of those by 4 points or less.
It is not like the Hornets are doing much better. They are 3-7 in their last 10 games. They are coming off a pretty impressive win over a good Cavaliers team. I think this one is team is so much better than their record at 31-33 indicates.
I like the over in this game. I know it is a massive number but it is warranted. The Hornets ranked in the top 10 of offensive efficiency in the NBA this year and the Spurs aren’t far behind at 13th. In terms of points per game, the Hornets ranked 1st overall averaging a ridiculous 114.1 points per game. The Spurs are also in the top 10 as they rank 7th averaging 112.7 points per game.
Both of these teams also rank in the bottom 12 of defensive efficiency. The Spurs are 19th and the Hornets are 23rd.
