The Knicks have been a staple of New York sports for as long as anyone can remember, while the Warriors were founded in Philly, but moved out west to San Francisco in 1962. Golden State leads the series 184-164 over the Knicks, but these two haven’t played each other since 2022. It’s one of the oldest matchups in NBA history, yet the Warriors vs. Knicks games have become a rarity in recent years.

I’m taking the Golden State Warriors over the New York Knicks in this one. The Warriors are on a roll, winning 8 of their last 10, while the Knicks are in a slump, winning just 3 of their last 10. New York is dealing with several key injuries, most recently leading scorer Jalen Brunson, who missed time because of a neck injury, and is now listed as day-to-day. Without any of their top-scorers, the Knicks won’t be able to keep pace with a Warriors team that’s averaging over 120 points per game over their last 10.
While the Knicks suffer through their injuries, the Warriors have seen the return of several key players, most notably veteran point guard Chris Paul, who’s steady leadership has buoyed Golden State’s second unit. And of course there’s Steph Curry to worry about, who despite New York’s dependable defense, will always be a threat. Curry is once again leading the NBA in 3-pointers made, recording an impressive 266 3PM, 69 more than the 2nd place shooter and the only player above 200. The Warriors have found their groove, and despite being the road team, Golden State will triumph over the ailing New York Knicks.
