Scary Good Halloween Matchup in the East
In a 2023 postseason rematch, the New York Knicks will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs get home court advantage in this one, but so far Cleveland is 0-2 at home. The Cavs are 1-2 overall, matching the New York Knicks’ record, but last season Cleveland went 1-3 against the Knicks. In the playoffs, New York took down the Cavaliers with ease, winning the Eastern Conference First Round matchup 4-1, while holding Cleveland under 100 points in 4 of 5 games.
Cleveland is dealing with several injuries, most notably to guards Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, who are both game time decisions. Mitchell was able to practice on Monday, and is more likely to play than Garland, who was unable to get a practice in. Center Jarrett Allen is also questionable, but got a practice in and will look to make his season debut against New York. However, nothing is certain, and if Mitchell, Garland, and Allen all miss the game, the Knicks are looking at an easy win. New York has had a slow start, and they’re coming off an 87-96 loss to the Pelicans on Saturday, but the Knicks don’t have a single player on their injury report, and will bounce back against the ailing Cavaliers.
So for our Knicks vs. Cavaliers expert pick, take the New York Knicks Moneyline (-110) on Tuesday.
