Sacramento Kings at Golden State Warriors: Game 6 Prediction, Player Props, & Betting Tips
By Sam Batz
The NBA Playoffs are still in the First Round, but things are really heating up. One of the best series in the West has been the No. 3 seed Sacramento Kings versus the No. 6 seed Golden State Warriors. On Friday, April 28th, the Kings and Warriors will face off in what should be a thrilling Game 6 matchup (8:00 PM EST, ESPN). The Warriors lead the series 3-2 after winning their first road game of the series in Game 5 on Wednesday night. The Kings have yet to win away from home in this series and are +7.5 point underdogs for Game 6, while the Warriors are -7.5 point favorites, with a moneyline priced at -325.
The Sacramento Kings (+7.5; ML +250)
The Kings returned to the postseason this year after a 16 season hiatus. It was the longest playoff drought in the NBA, but after going 48-34 (58.5%), the Kings secured the No. 3 seed, and with it, home court advantage. Sacramento started off perfectly with wins in Games 1 & 2, making the Warriors fear the Kings in their home castle. But the series quickly took a turn, and after losing 3-straight, Sacramento is now looking at a win-or-go-home situation in Game 6. The Kings won 60.9% of their away games during the regular season, but are traveling to one of the most hostile arenas in the league to play one of the most experienced playoff teams in recent memory.
The Golden State Warriors (-7.5; ML -325)
The Golden State Warriors are built different. No one had them winning the NBA Championship last season, but they did. This year, after dropping the first two-games to Sacramento, you heard things like, “are the Warriors finally done?” and “not all good things can last…”, yet here they are, up 3-2 in the series and on the precipice of their 8th First Round victory in 10 years. Domination is a word that comes to mind when I think about the Warriors in the playoffs, and while the Kings have played them tough throughout this series, Golden State’s ability to win big games has been on full display. The Warriors are right where they want to be for Game 6, just one win away from taking the series, and playing at home where they won over 80% of the time.

Kings vs. Warriors: Best Player Props
Domantas Sabonis (Kings Power Forward): Under 19.5 Points (-120) & a Double-Double (-425)
Domantas Sabonis led the NBA in double-doubles (65) this season. In Round 1 against the Warriors, he has a double-double in 3 of the 5 games. Game 6 is a win-or-go-home game, and Sabonis will come out hungry and ready to leave it all on the court. He will gobble up rebounds left and right, and is nearly guaranteed to score at least 10 points. Sabonis has broken 20+ points twice this series, but never in Golden State, and will go under 19.5 points.
Draymond Green (Warriors Power Forward): Over 6.5 Assists (-130)
He is arguably the most controversial player in the NBA today, but Draymond Green plays an important role for the Warriors, especially when things get heated. Draymond loves to start drama, and loves to get in his opponents heads with his trash talk. Green is a beast on defense, guarding everyone in every position, but he is also a playmaking mastermind, averaging 7.5 assists per game this postseason. Draymond loves to get the ball into the hands of his talented teammates, and as a result, led the Warriors in assists this year. I predict Draymond will record over 6.5 assists on Friday.
Kings vs. Warriors Game 6 Prediction
Take the Sacramento Kings to cover the spread (+7.5 points). The Kings may not win, and they likely won’t, but Sacramento will keep it close. They are the top-scoring offense in the NBA, and Coach of the Year, Mike Brown, won’t let his team get blown out in Game 6. The Kings only lost by 1-points (125-126) in Game 4 at Golden State, proving they can keep it close in the hostile environment of the Chase Center. The Warriors valuable playoff experience was evident in Games 3, 4, and 5, and the reigning champions are going to show the young Kings who’s really in charge of the West in Game 6, but Sacramento will keep it close.
Prediction: Sacramento Kings Cover The Spread (+7.5)
