Matchup: New York Knicks vs. Sacramento Kings
The New York Knicks are slated to take on the Sacramento Kings this Saturday in a cross-conference showdown between two sides vying for an automatic playoff bid. The Knicks are 4th in the East and the Kings are 6th in the West, but they’re each teetering on the brink of the play-in tournament. The East and West are incredibly close, giving added meaning to each regular season matchup left on the schedule. Both the Knicks and the Kings are coming off back-to-back wins, but this Saturday one team’s streak will come to an end. It’s the first matchup of the season between New York and Sacrmaneto, making it a difficult game to call with no past reference.
Regardless, this one’s destined to be a great game. Below you’ll find all of our picks for the Knicks vs. Kings, including stats, scores, and betting advice. We’ll help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips for Saturday’s matchup between the Knicks and Kings.

Knicks vs. Kings History
The New York Knicks versus Sacramento Kings series is one of the oldest in the NBA. The series began 76 years ago in 1948, back when the Kings were known as the Rochester Royals. The Kings have been through several iterations, moving from Rochester to Cincinnati, then to Kansas City, until finally landing in Sacramento where the Kings have ruled since 1986. This Saturday marks the 309th regular season meeting between the Kings and the Knicks, and it’s Sacramento who leads the all-time series with a 159-149 record over New York. Saturday’s game is in Sacramento, where the Knicks are 53-84 (38.7%) all-time.
Knicks vs. Kings Game Predictions
It’s going to be a close game, but I’m going with the Sacramento Kings to win and cover. The Kings are on a roll, winning back-to-back games against tough opponents (Bucks and Lakers), as well as winning 3 of their last 4 home games. Sacramento isn’t dealing with any major injuries and their top-scorer De’Aaron Fox is on fire, averaging 29.0 points in his last 5 games. Additionally, Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis is playing out of his mind, as he leads the NBA in both double-double’s (61) and triple-double’s (23). Sabonis has 47 straight double-doubles, making him one of the most consistent players in the NBA, and a key asset to the Kings.
The Knicks are also coming off back-to-back wins, but New York’s Julius Randle remains sidelined with a shoulder injury. Randle has now missed 20-games, and the Knicks are 10-10 without him. New York plays lock down defense, giving up just 99.1 opponent points per game in their last 10, but the Knicks haven’t played a top-tier offense since facing Atlanta on March, 5th, where they gave up 116 points. The Kings averaged 122.8 points per game in their last 5, and the Knicks will struggle to keep up with Sacramento’s talented scorers.
In summary, here are my picks for the Knicks vs. Kings Saturday night matchup:
- Moneyline Pick: Sacramento Kings (-130)
If you take the Kings Moneyline (-130): You risk $130 to win $100, for a total payout of $230, if the Kings win straight up.
- ATS Pick: Sacramento Kings (-2.5)
If you take the Kings to Cover the -2.5 Spread (-105): You risk $105 to win $100, for a total payout of $205, if the Kings win the game by at least 3 points.
- O/U Pick: Under (pending)
