NBA: Miami Heat at Boston Celtics

The game starts at 7:30 PM EST in Boston’s TD Garden. The Moneyline prices the Heat as +245 underdogs, while the Celtics are favored at -305. The O/U total is pending, but the Spread is 7.5 points.

Rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals 

The Miami Heat will travel to Boston on Friday to face the Celtics in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals. Miami beat Boston 4 games to 3, and while Boston nearly became the first team in NBA history to come back from an 0-3 series deficit, they came up short and Miami survived. The Celtics will certainly have a chip on their shoulder, and in Friday’s matchup, Boston will be out to prove that this is their year. 

I think the Celtics will win this one, but bet on the Miami Heat to cover the spread. The point spread is set at 7.5, and if the Heat win the game or lose by no more than 7 points, Miami will cover. Boston isn’t the only team out to prove they’re a title contender, and the Heat will be itching to prove that they’re still better than Boston. Both Miami and Boston won their season openers, and both teams would love nothing more than to hand their budding rivals their first loss of the season. I’m expecting a hard fought, tightly contested matchup, in a preview of a potential postseason series.
