Raptors look to build on red-hot finish to season in Philly
The Raptors are 15-7 since March 1st. They have been playing great basketball to end the season. They looked like a Play-In team before catching fire late and grabbing the five seed. That was capitalized by a 119-114 win over Philly on April 7th. They now face those same Sixers in the first round. The Raps finished the season with a loss to the Knicks in a game where they rested their starters but they are still 8-2 in their last ten games.
The 76ers are kind of sputtered towards the end of the season but have won four of their last five. They hope the midseason trade for James Harden will result in a championship. Embiid finished with the scoring title and is looking to prove he is the MVP in the playoffs even though the award is most likely going to Jokic.
I think people will hop on this over since the last game was 119-114 but the previous three games between them all went under at totals of 214, 213, and 179. Both of these teams rank top 12 in defensive efficiency and I think they will focus on shutting each other’s stars down.
