Powerless Wizards Continue to Struggle

The Washington Wizards are yet again one of the worst teams in the NBA. At 7-32, Washington is 14th in the East and 28th in the NBA. The Wizards will take on the New York Knicks in their next matchup, and while the odds are still pending, Washington will certainly be the underdogs. The New York Knicks are 23-17, putting them 7th in the East and 13th in the NBA, 15.5 games up on the Wizards. 

I’m taking the New York Knicks in this matchup. The Knicks are 2-0 against the Wizards this season, averaging 120.5 points per game. On the other side, Washington averages just 102.0 points per game against the Knicks. New York is clearly the better team, winning 6 of their last 10 and averaging an +8.3 point differential, compared to the Wizards, who went 2-8 over their last 10 and now post the worst defensive numbers in the NBA, allowing 125.3 points per game. New York is not a high scoring side, but they’ll cruise past the Wizards porous defense tomorrow night.
