Popovich looks for history hosting the Jazz

The Jazz and the Spurs face off in San Antonio for a big game for both teams. The Jazz are trying to maintain home-court advantage throughout the first round while the Spurs try to make Gregg Popovich the winningest coach ever. 

Popovich is one win off of passing Don Nelson’s NBA record 1335 wins. Popovich tied Nelson with the Spurs’ win over the shorthanded Lakers on Monday. The Spurs are coming off of a loss to the Raptors. They have an outside chance at the Play-In tournament but would need some help considering they are 3.5 games behind the Lakers with about 16 games left to play. 

The Jazz is coming off what might’ve been the easiest win for any team in the NBA this season. They dismantled the Trail Blazers 123-85. At one point in the third quarter, they were up 94-43. The Jazz coasted through this one. 

The Jazz has the NBA’s number one offense this year while the Spurs rank 14th. On the defensive side of the ball, the Jazz rank 10th and the Spurs rank 20th in the NBA. I just think that these teams are going to get out and run.
