This is probably the least exciting matchup of Tuesday’s slate. The Wizards are eleventh in the East while the Pistons have a one-game lead over the last-place Magic.
The Pistons are coming off of a magical win in Detroit two nights ago against the Hornets. They won in double overtime by one point on a Kelly Olynk fadeaway buzzer-beater. They scored a surprising 127 points in that game which is well above their season average of 103. That ranks second to last in the league.
The Wizards are coming off of a 92-86 loss to the Cavs on Saturday night. They have been really inconsistent. Before not reaching 90 points in that game they lost the Spurs 157-153 in double overtime.
I think this is actually a good spot for the Wizards here. The Pistons’ worst trend ATS this year is after a win. They are just 5-9 ATS after a win this season. The Wizards need to get back on track.
I think Kuzma can carry them to a victory here after he put up 34 points in their last game.
