Matchup: OKC Thunder vs. Portland Trail Blazers

On Wednesday the NBA has a one-sided divisional matchup on the schedule, as the Portland Trail Blazers prepare to host the Oklahoma City Thunder. These two teams are on diametrically opposing tracks, as the Blazers continue to struggle, while the Thunder are thriving. Portland is 14th in the West with little to no hope of seeing the postseason, while Oklahoma City has a real shot at the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Thunder are undefeated against the Blazers this season (3-0), and OKC is once again heavily favored to beat Portland, however the Blazers will be looking to ride the fervor of the home fans, and could help Portland keep it competitive against their prevailing divisional rivals.

Below you’ll find all of our picks for the Thunder vs. Blazers upcoming game, including stats, scores, and betting advice. We’ll help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips for Wednesday’s matchup between the Thunder and Blazers.

Thunder vs. Blazers History

Wednesday will mark the 255th all-time meeting between the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder lead the series with a 134-120 record over Portland, bolstered by OKC’s current 11-game win streak against the Blazers. Portland hasn’t won a game against OKC since 2021, and this is the Blazers last chance to snap the Thunder’s streak. OKC is hoping to make it 12-straight over Portland, further extending the longest streak either team has enjoyed over the other, as well as solidifying the Thunder’s dominance over the Trail Blazers.

Thunder vs. Blazers Game Predictions

It would take a miracle for Portland to win this game, but I never rely on divine intervention when making a prediction. Instead, I’m going with the clear favorites, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to win the game and cover the spread. The Blazers are dealing with several key injuries, so stay away from any Portland player props, but even if Portland was at full strength they would struggle to beat the Thunder. OKC is loaded with talent, and it starts with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who’s 2nd in scoring (31.1 PPG), and averages 30.7 points against Portland this season. The Blazers are notorious for giving up big games to superstar players, and I’m expecting SGA to have a phenomenal performance.

SGA will certainly lead the Thunder in scoring, while Portland’s Anfernee Simons is the only Blazer’s starter without an injury designation. Portland is banged up, bruised, and limping to the finish line, while OKC is in a battle for the No. 1 seed in the West. The Thunder can’t afford to take it easy, no matter how uneven this matchup may seem. But OKC will rise to the challenge, won’t let their foot off the gas, even against the lowly Trail Blazers. I’m expecting a blowout win for the Thunder, as Portland continues their downward spiral.

In summary, here are my picks for the Thunder vs. Blazers Wednesday night matchup:

  • Moneyline Pick: OKC Thunder (-485)

If you take the Thunder Moneyline (-485): You risk $485 to win $100, for a total payout of $585, if the Thunder win straight up.

  • ATS Pick: OKC Thunder (-10)

If you take the Thunder to Cover the -10 Spread (-110): You risk $110 to win $100, for a total payout of $210, if the Thunder win the game by more than 10-points.

  • O/U Pick: Over (223.5)

If you take the Over on 223.5 total points (-110): You risk $110 to win $100, for a total payout of $210, if the Thunder and Blazers combine for more than 223 points.
