The Pels are red-hot, winning 4 consecutive games while putting up 118.0 points per, but what’s even more impressive is the Pelicans defense, holding opponents to less than 110 points over their winning streak. New Orleans has the 6th ranked defense in the NBA, and with Brandon Ingram expected to make his return, the Pelicans will be even better. If the Lakers lose they risk falling to 9th in the West, but win or lose LA is in the play-in. That’s not the case for the Pels as New Orleans has a lot more to lose than just the game, so I’m betting that the Pelicans come out swinging and secure the win in the final game of the regular season.
