The Nets badly need a win. Since Kyrie Irving stated that this team would come out of the All-Star break playing well they are 1-5. They just are not playing well as of late. They are coming off of a loss to the Celtics in Boston where Tatum dropped 54 points on them.
The Hornets have won their last two games over the Cavaliers and the Spurs. I think they may be finding a bit of a groove here.
Both of these teams are 32-33 and are fighting for the Play-In tournament. Both of these teams are still at risk of missing the playoffs altogether and having a disappointing season.
I think this is actually a great spot for the Nets here. Since coming back Kevin Durant put up 31 points on 48% shooting and 37 points on 57% shooting. He is playing great and is unguardable at the moment. I think the Nets can bounce back here and pick up a win.
