NBA Playoffs Opening Round

All right Tomm a little hiatus here we were in Vegas last week at the circuit hotel at that bet bash conference. So for you guys that follow some of the sharp guys out there, myself Scotty we’re out there and we’ll talk a little about that.

I like to honor the Raptors. As we know the Raptors playing really well. Really good basketball right now. But I think people are going to look at the previous match of this game happened. It was a third to last game of the season, where it was 119 to 114. But the three games before that all went under 214 to 13 and 179. Both of these teams ranked in the top 12 of defensive efficiency. And I think the Raptors are, I mean their length is ridiculous. They’re probably one of the biggest teams in the league. And then when they start the five big guys that are all over six, seven, it’s kind of crazy to score on them. So I both Yeah, I’m going to take longer here under 216

So you like the younger you don’t think you’ll see a big explosive explosion on offense for the first game at least.

 

Scott the Concur. What do you see on this game? Well, I’ll tell you what I know Philadelphia’s got a lot more ridin with a lot of pressure on them between the head coach Doc Rivers James Harden trying to fit in with Joel Embiid. What’s going to come out of that harden he shows up some games, some games, he doesn’t show up.

 This is going to be an interesting series because this Toronto team is real. They they played well on the road this year I had that they had the same record. They were like equal they were 24 and 17 at home 24 and 17 on the road had a good spread record 47 and 35 Overall, so they can play a lot of pressure. I’ll tell you what, I liked the dog in this first game. I think Toronto has got a lot of weapons. Now Fred VanVleet right now is questionable going into this game.

 But even when he has been out of the lineup, there are other role players have been stepping up their eight games and playing really well for Toronto. So I think Toronto can definitely match up and be it’s going to have to be an absolute beast in this series because if hardens one day showing up one day not showing up. Yeah, you got Tobias Harris. Yeah, you got Maxi, you’ve got some other role plays for Philadelphia, some young studs, but I’ll tell you in this first game, I think there’s gonna be a lot more pressure on Philadelphia then there is Toronto because Toronto, you know, they they close their way in, they played extremely well. 

But I liked the dog in the first game I’d get plus five, a five and a half on the line. And I think this game is gonna be a close game. Toronto, I think beat him three out of four times during the regular season this year. And I think they can match up extremely well. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they come in there or business like this focused and take advantage of a maybe may

 

Be a little pressure on the 76 is to get that first game at home. Think it’s gonna be a close game. You could go either way.

Actually, I’m gonna go with the nuggets here and this one plus six. We do know curry I think he’s gonna play it’s looking like he’s gonna play but you okay there’s there’s no one on this warriors team that can sloppy Okay, which I’ll talk a little more about that in our prop but I think the nuggets, the nuggets have played them close all season the nuggets beat them three out of four times a season. So the nuggets know how to play them. I think Mike Malone knows how to match these guys up well, with curry he’s gonna eat probably won’t be 100% I think the nuggets can keep this game close.

 

So you’d like to dog on this one? Scott, what do you what are you looking at here on the Golden State down the game.

 

Dre hit a lot of points. But I’m going to totally disagree with him on this game because I just feel that Golden State is going to come out jacked up if Steph Curry does play in this game. And all indications at this point is he will play I don’t know how many minutes they’re talking anywheres from 20 Or maybe 25 minutes getting a min, I think that’s going to definitely rise the level you know, for Golden State up, I just think that they’re going to come out very focused in this game at home, I think it’s going to be an important game for them to get because like Trey said, Denver has won three out of four this year.

 Denver is excellent, by the way as a road Dogg. But I just feel all indications the line is just point me in there. I’m a numbers guy, I examine these numbers inside and out. I think if this game was about Denver, the line would have been about four, four and a half. I think being the fact they made a heavy number on this game and it really hasn’t moved off it, it’s six and a half. All indications are the sharp money is going to jump on the favorite in this game. And I just feel that Golden State is going to come out right, they’re going to have an explosive game. And for Denver to stay in this game, they’re going to have to be just as explosive. And I don’t see it happening.

 And I feel Golden State wins this game by a wide margin in game one and puts a statement on this series right from the beginning. So take Golden State guys, if you want to get the payday

 

you want to catch that ticket. You say Golden State has filled the right in this game, I just feel they’re going to come out that little time off is going to help them you know they they’re putting their players back in jellen. And I just think that guys like Wiggins Klay Thompson, you know, a pool. Now with curry Draymond Green now, I think they’re going to gel in this game. I just think it’s gonna be a kind of a statement game. You know, as I said, I think demo is going to need a lot to stay in this game.

So you had to choose one game. best bet for opening NBA Playoffs? Who would it be? I’m gonna ride with Toronto. TOMMY I just think that Toronto is right in this series. I just think they’re more focused. I think that there’s a lot more pressure on Philly to see what happens when Embiid and hot and working together for the first time as a unit and trying to gel around their other role players in a playoff situation because you know the intensity level. That’s another thing. 

Guys think about the intensity level. This is where the marbles are on the line. The intensity of the games, you know get much more physical in the playoffs. If you notice that any playoff spot whether it’s hockey, whether it’s basketball, football playoffs get very intense, and I just think that the intensity and the way this matchup I like to run it though in this game. I just feel they’re going to find a way to keep it close.

 

if not maybe pull off a mild upset and I wouldn’t even call it a major upset if Toronto went in there and won Game one, because I’m expecting them to play really well. So I like Toronto, I’d get the line guys, to be honest with you. I buy it up to five and a half. I know a lot of guys don’t like to buy numbers, but I love to buy numbers on certain games and situations. I would take Toronto to plus five and a half. And I would make that a best bet it would be lay in that 130 juice I think is worth it. Because I feel they’re the right side of the game. Toronto plus five and a half. Best bet. That’s your best bet for Saturday and Dre Who do you like it could be like I said either game that we talked about or anything else on the board actually.

 

Oh, my best bet is a prop other than the prop. I like honestly is not playing today. Right? There’s no Yan is today? No, but I liked the Timberwolves plus seven. If you get seven here, I just think they’re playing good basketball right now they beat the Clippers without Karl Anthony Towns. He was out for most of that game, I think called Anthony Tambo calm down here. You know, you can see that he was a bit emotional. They’re crazy. But the line is moving in the temporal way even though the public is on the Grizzlies here. So I do like the Timberwolves to call it a plus seven and the Timberwolves beat the Grizzlies at home twice a season. So

 

I don’t know. I think they’re still celebrating winning that game the other night. I mean, they were jumping on the table guys ripping their shirts off, throwing them into the crowd. I mean, confetti going off. It was only a it was a playing game, a playing game. And it looked like they won the championship for the NBA. I mean, it was crazy. But you know what, let’s hope they bottle those emotions. And you could be correct if they bring that good energy, because they’re going to need that good energy. You know, in the playoffs? Yeah, for sure. Do you have a prop for Australia? Yeah, so the problem is gonna be I mentioned that before No one’s can stop yoga on the Warriors. I mean, say stick come on Looney on.

 And that’s, that’s barbecue chicken that is so easy to get just averaging 50 Just under 52 points, rebounds and assists against the Warriors this season. He actually had a 3215 and 13 game and a 3517 and eight game against him this season. So I’m going to take his over and points rebounds and assists. And if there’s just no one on there that could stop him and it’s the playoffs yoke is gonna go off.

 

All right, good old Tom. Good old Tom. He’s going to throw something out here. I tend to agree with Scott. I think the Warriors are going to come out game one and pretty much smoke the nuggets. So I would lay the six points. With with Golden State on the on the opening night I see them winning by double digits.

 

So you can lock that down. If you I think the energy level is going to be what’s going to make Golden State tough in that game. I think they’re going to rise to the occasion and rally around curry if he plays or even doesn’t like, I think the rest of the team is just going to be jacked up and that you got to be in like we said in the playoffs. You’ve got to have that intensity level. And if Denver comes in slightly under that, they’re gonna have a tough time in Golden State. That’s for sure. I agree. I fronted a home crowd Saturday night.
