Matchup: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Orlando Magic

The Minnesota Timberwolves are slated to take on the Orlando Magic tomorrow night. The Magic, who have improved greatly compared to last season, are 4th in the East with a 21-15 record. The Timberwolves are a tough customer though, as they have the best record in the Western Conference at 25-10. Both Minnesota and Orlando went 5-5 in their last 10 games, but the Timberwolves are coming off a loss, while the Magic are coming off back-to-back wins. Minnesota remains the favorite though, and as favorites they’ve won 80.8% of their games, but the Magic are 6-2 (75%) as underdogs at home. This should make for a great game, and in this article we will help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips so that you walk away with a great payout in this Timberwolves vs. Magic matchup.

Timberwolves vs. Magic Game Predictions

I’m going with the Minnesota Timberwolves in this one. The Magic are dealing with several key injuries, most notably to Franz Wagner, who averages 20.9 points per game, the second best total on the team. The Timberwolves on the other hand have no one on the injury report. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards is having the best season of his young career, averaging 26.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Edwards has scored 30+ points in 5 of his last 6 games, and will look to carry the TImberwolves offense once again.

The Magic have been carried by 2022’s first overall pick, Paolo Banchero, who is averaging 34.3 points per game in January, but against Minnesota’s defense, Banchero will be completely smothered. The Timberwolves are allowing a league best 107.7 points per game, thanks to their trio of rim protecting centers: Rudy Gobert, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Naz Reid. Scoring on the Timberwolves is no easy task, and without one of their top-scorers (Franz Wagner), the Orlando Magic will be hard pressed to win this game.

Moneyline Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves (-185)

ATS Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves (-4.5)

O/U Pick: Over (219)

Prediction: Timberwolves 115; Magic 110
