Miami Heat Lock It Down Defensively 

The Miami Heat are facing the Toronto Raptors for the second time this season. Miami took the first meeting, beating the Raptors 112-103 in Toronto. Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson, and Jimmy Butler combined for 64 points for Miami, while Toronto’s Pascal Siakam put up 30 points. The Heat are looking to extend a 3-game winning streak, while the Raptors are hoping to snap a 4-game losing streak. Miami is 9 games up on Toronto in the East, but the sportsbooks are saying this is a toss-up. 

A winner is tough to predict in this one. The safer bet is to take the under on 228 total points. The Heat have been playing exceptional defense, holding their opponents to 106.8 points per game in their last 10 matchups. Moreover, Miami has not allowed an opponent to reach 100 points in 3-straight games. The Raptors have proven they can score, recording 120+ points 15 times this season, but Toronto crumbles when they face a good defense. The Heat’s O/U record is 7-14 on the road, while the Raptors O/U record is 9-10 at home, hitting the under in 4 of their last 6.
