The Memphis Grizzlies will travel to the crypto.com Arena to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in game 4 of the first round in the Western Conference Playoffs (10:00 p.m. ET, TNT). Memphis needs a win on the road in this game. They cannot afford to go down in the series 3-1. Luckily, for the Grizzlies they will have Dillon Brooks back for this game after his ejection in game 3 for hitting LeBron James in the mid-section. Still, this is a huge game for the Grizzlies that will determine their confidence for the future of this series. Meanwhile, the Lakers are looking to win both of their games at home in this series and take a 3-1 lead in the series. In game 3, they defeated the Grizzlies 111-101. Los Angeles cannot afford the Grizzlies to tie up this series going back to Memphis.
Memphis Grizzlies Basketball
Memphis has been dominant all season. In the playoffs they got the two seed in the Western Conference. Unfortunately, they got paired up with a scary seventh ssed in the Los Angeles Lakers who are heating up at the right time. Memphis is currently trailing the series 2-1. They will look to tie up the series in game 4 and head back to home in game 5. Memphis cannot afford to trail in the series 3-1 against the Lakers.
The Grizzlies have been led by Ja Morant this series, who leads the team in points and assists. Morant is averaging 31.5 points and 7.5 assists a game this series. Desmond Bane has helped Morant in the backcourt this postseason as he is averaging 19.0 points a game this season. Finally Jaren Jackson Jr. has been huge this series averaging 20.7 points and 6.3 rebounds. He has been busy guarding Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
In their loss against the Lakers in game 3, Morant had a monster game finishing with 45 points, 9 rebounds, and 13 assists. Bane also had a great game finishing with 18 points. Memphis could not get any scoring from anyone else besides Morant. The Grizzlies need to help Morant out if they want to win this series. In the loss, the Grizzlies shot 37.6% from the floor and 33.3% from the three-point line.
Los Angeles Lakers Basketball
The Lakers are looking to pull off the first round upset in this series against the Memphis Grizzlies. Los Angeles has Memphis on the ropes as they are up in the series 2-1. Plus, they will be at home in this one. If they can pickup another home win they will take a 3-1 series lead going back to Memphis.
The Lakers have a bunch of talent on their team that have been balling out this postseason. Los Angeles has been led by LeBron James this series. He is averaging 24.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Also, Anthony Davis has been great this series, averaging 22.0 points and 12.7 rebounds. Rui Hachimura has stepped up for Los Angeles this postseason averaging 21.7 points a game.
In their win against the Grizzlies in game 3, Davis dominated finishing with 31 points and 17 rebounds. James also had an incredible game finished ith 25 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Davis and James have dominated this series so far. Memphis needs to find a way to stop these two. Plus, the Lakers starting five has had success scoring in bunches. In the win, the Lakers shot 45.6% from the floor and 25.0% from the three-point line.

This is a huge game for the Lakers to take the life out of Memphis. Look for Davis and James to have huge games for the Lakers, like they did in game 3 again. Memphis does not have a big man that can contain and stop Davis.
