The Pelicans are 33-35 on the season. They are the 12 seed in the West but they are tied with three other teams that are currently seeded above them. They are just two games out of the six seed in the West with 14 games left to go.

The Lakers are also 33-35 on the season and tied with three other teams for ninth. They are probably playing the best out of these teams as they have won seven of their last ten games. They are coming off of a loss to the Knicks though. 

I love the Lakers in this one. I know they just lost to the Knicks but they got De’Angelo Russell back and he showed why they traded for him as he put up 33 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. He and Anthony Davis should lead this Lakers team to a much needed win. They just have more talent and are playing better right now.
