Knicks look to get into the playoff race to start the second half of the season
The Heat is first in the East and is having a stellar season despite their main players each missing a good chunk of the season. The Knicks are not having a good season as they are 12th in the East at 25-34 and are having a mediocre season.
An interesting stat to look at here is that the Heat are a ridiculous 9-3 ATS when they have at least two days of rest. They are coming off of a long All-Star break in which only Jimmy Butler took the floor for them.
The Knicks are just 3-5 ATS this season as a home underdog. I think this is a great spot for the Heat. The Knicks are also coming into this game as losers of three straight against the Trail Blazers, Thunder, and Nets. The Nets’ loss may have been one of the worst in franchise history as they blew a 25 point lead to a team without its top three players. It kind of epitomized the Knicks’ season.
The Heat are playing for the East’s one seed and should get hot through this last part of the season.
