Knicks Catch Fire with Six Straight
The New York Knicks will host the Utah Jazz on Tuesday in a cross conference showdown. The Jazz were on a tear at the beginning of January, winning 9 of their first 10 games to start the month, but snapped the win streak with 3 back-to-back losses, averaging 138.0 points against per game. The Jazz are back in the win column though, winning 2-straight road games, but Utah now faces the hottest team in the NBA. The Knicks are on a 6-game streak, the longest current run in the league, and won 8 of their last 10.
The Knicks are on fire, and I’m taking New York to extend their streak with a win over the Jazz tomorrow. The Knicks are 16-5 at home, while the Jazz are 9-17 on the road. New York received the terrible news that Julius Randle will be out multiple weeks with a shoulder injury. Randle averages 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game and will be sorely missed, but I’m expecting Knicks leading scorer Jalen Brunson to pick up the slack. Utah’s defense has been nonexistent recently, allowing 121.4 opponent points per game in their last 10, and I’m expecting Brunson to carry the Knicks to their 7th-straight win against Utah’s lackluster defense.
So for our Jazz vs. Knicks expert pick, take the Knicks on Tuesday.
