Kings Snap Three Game Losing Streak
More NBA In-Season Tournament action is on the table, as the OKC Thunder take on the Sacramento Kings in a West Group C group stage matchup. The Thunder are 5-3 on the season, while the Kings are 3-4. OKC is led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who’s averaging 28.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. SGA has scored 30+ points in 5 of the Thunders 8 games, and is coming off a 43 point performance in their win over the Cavaliers. The Kings top-scorer, De’Aaron Fox, is questionable for Friday’s matchup. Without him, Sacramento will have a hard time keeping up with the Thunder
I’m going with OKC in this one. SGA is putting up MVP type numbers, but he’s not alone. OKC’s Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Luguentz Dort are all averaging 15+ per game, making the Thunder the 2nd-best scoring team in the West with 118.8 PPG. Sacramento is giving up 116.0 points per game to their opponents, and with Fox the Kings offense has stagnated. OKC is undefeated on the road (2-0) and will fly into Sacramento ready to extend that streak.
