It’s Sunday, April 21st and this is our free NBA prediction for Game 1 of the Mavericks vs. Clippers series.

The game is in LA and tips-off at 3:30 PM Eastern.

So let’s break this one down…

It’s going to be one of the closest series in the first round of the playoffs. The Mavericks are favored, priced at -125, but the spread is set at just 1.5 points, and I could see it going either way. 

The Clippers lead the season series 1-2 over Dallas, but each game was wildly different, making this a tough matchup to predict, as there are too many unknowns.   

But one thing we do know is that these are two great offenses. During the regular season Dallas averaged 117.9 points per game, and the Clippers averaged 115.6 points per game. 

The O/U total is set at 223.5, meaning each side has to score just 112 points, something that shouldn’t be a problem for either side. 

So for our Mavericks vs. Clippers expert pick, take the Over (223.5) in Game 1 on Sunday.
