Indiana Pacers Lead NBA in Scoring
The Indiana Pacers are a middle-of-the-pack team at 4-3, but on offense, the Pacers are second to none. At 124.9 points per game, Indiana is leading the NBA in scoring. They’re shooting 49.6% from the field and 39.2% from three-point range. The Pacers are led by Tyrese Haliburton’s 24.0 points per game, but Indiana has 6 other players averaging double-digit scoring figures.
Indiana’s offense is great, but they have 3 losses because of poor defense. The Pacers are allowing 121.7 points per game, the 3rd-most in the NBA, and now face the stellar 4-2 Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are good, there’s no doubt about that, but this is a tough matchup, and they could struggle against Indiana.
Milwaukee’s offense runs through Giannis Antetokounmpo, who leads the team with 26.0 points per game, but Indiana’s 6’ 11” Center Myles Turner is an elite defender who will cause problems for Antetokounmpo. Again, the Pacers have a great offense, and the Bucks have struggled defensively, allowing 119.7 points per game. Against the NBA’s top-scoring team, Milwaukee’s lackluster defense could suffer the consequences.
So for our Bucks vs. Pacers expert pick, take the Indiana Pacers to Cover (+3.5) on Thursday.
