Ok, let’s get to our Heat vs Hornets predictions.

This is an exciting matchup between two great teams in the Eastern Conference. The Miami Heat sit in the 2nd seed in the East, tied with the Bulls for first. The Hornets are the 8 seed, but only 4.5 games seperate them from the Bulls and Heat. The Heat are currently 6-4 over their last 10 games, and while that is a decent record, they had just lost three games in a row. They were finally able to get a win against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night. The biggest part of that win is that the Heat got back Kyle Lowry who had missed the last two weeks. Although he only posted a 2-3-4 stat line, his effect on the team morale and efficiency was evident. Bam Adebayo is also seeming to get in the rhythm of things after missing almost a month of games. He’s had his best two games since returning from injury his last two games, averaging 25 points in the span.

The Hornets are a team that seems to be a buyer in free agency. They are a good team, who could’ve had two or at least one All-Star this year in Miles Bridges and Lamelo Ball, but it seems they need one more piece to really become a favorite in the east. They are coming off a two game losing stretch, and are 5-5 in their last 10. The main bright side for them all season? They average the most points per game in the entire NBA at 144.3. The down side? They are behind only the Kings and Rockets for most points a game allowed at 114.6. If this team can acquire a good defender who can spread the floor, they can really flip the script on this season. Look for this game to be high scoring, mainly on the Heats side.

For our Expert Heat vs Hornets pick take the Over 225.
