The current Memphis vs warriors odds have golden state favored by 3 and a half points which I think is a little strange. Steph curry, the scoring champion of the 2021 season and the dubs fell just short against the Lakers. He missed the final 3 of the game to tie it after Bron hit a fadeaway three pointer that was one of the most clutch shots of his career.
The Dubs blew their fourth quarter lead on the road in Los Angeles at the Staples center, but will look to stay alive and grab the western conference 8 seed back at home. Their opponent…the Memphis Grizzlies led by the 2020 rookie of the year, Ja Morant. The duo of morant and Jonas valenciunas was unstoppable on Wednesday against the Spurs.
When Jonas was on the floor, San Antonio had no answer for him in the paint and he went for 23 points and 23 rebounds. If the grizzlies were able to make their free throws, the final score would have been much different. They only shot 5 of 11 from the charity stripe, and this will be their downfall against the warriors.
The grizzlies have been hot to end the season going 6-1 straight up in their last 7. They also finished 11-5 against the spread on the road. But in the bay against the warriors, they are 1-5 straight up…but they are 4-2 against the spread though.
As far as Memphis vs warriors injury report
Memphis will be at full strength unless Grayson Allen cannot play after reinjuring himself last game against the Spurs.
The warriors will still be without three of their starters..Klay Thompson, James wiseman and Kelly oubre. Looney filled in nicely at center against the Lakers on Wednesday night with 13 rebounds in under 20 minutes played.
Like the game against the Spurs, Jonas should be a nightmare inside for the warriors. He’s much more aggressive on the boards than the Lakers bigs are. I think the grizzlies will keep this one close, but Steph Curry isn’t missing the playoffs. And if he has another chance at a buzzer beater like last game, my money is with him!
