Clippers Will Struggle on the Glass

There were two things to note when we chose our proposition for tonight. The first one is the fact that Rudy Gobert is currently leading the NBA in rebounds per game at 14.6, And the second is the fact that the Los Angeles Clippers are the third worst rebounding team in the league percentage wise

Rudy Gobert is currently playing the best rebounding wise of his career. 14.6 rebounds per game is good enough for the best mark in his career and by a whole rebound a game. His highest mark for rebounds in a game has been 21 this year and his greatest month has been back in January, when he averaged 16 rebounds per game. He has always been a great rebounder and defender, but this year he has really taken a step up in crashing the boards.

On the other hand, the Los Angeles Clippers could really benefit from having a player like Rudy Gobert on their team. As stated before, the third worst rebounding team when it comes to percentage of rebounds Brought in in a game at only 48.6%. To contrast, the Utah Jazz rank 2nd at 52.1%. Although that percentage difference does not seem that big when you consider the fact that in an average NBA game there’s about 110 rebounds combined from both teams. That means that the Los Angeles Clippers are outrebounded by an average of 6 rebounds per game. If you multiply that over the entire season of roughly 80 games, they get 400 less Rebounds than their opponents they’ve played.

For our expert Utah Jazz versus Los Angeles Clippers pump prediction, expect the “Stifle Tower”, Rudy Gobert, to crash the boards and take his over on rebounds.
