The first game of the 2023 NBA playoffs is a matchup between the 76ers and the Nets. The 76ers are the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 54-24. The 76ers record at home is a dominant 29-12. The 76ers have struggled splitting their last 10 games 5-5. However they are currently on a 2 game win streak and expected to have Tyrese Maxey healthy for playoffs. 

The Brooklyn Nets are the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 45-37. That record and being in the playoffs however is due to when they had Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. After the all star break the Brooklyn Nets are 11-13. They are sub .500 team with their new roster. 

The New Brooklyn Nets team has potential but they are no threat to a championship contender like the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers led by players like Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey will win this series pretty easily. Philly is the better team and dominant at home. For this reason I really like the 76ers in Game 1.
