When this line first came out I was jumping all over the Celtics at -4 here but now that this line has moved all the way to -6 and -6.5 in some places I do not really like it. Instead, I am going to be giving you guys a pick on the total.
The Celtics were supposed to be coming into this game as winners of 10 straight. Instead, they are coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Pistons by one point. Do not let that overshadow the fact that the Celtics are playing great basketball right now. They are now 4th in the NBA in defensive rating. The Celtics are also now 11th in the NBA in offensive rating.
The Nets are playing this game without Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant. They are shorthanded right now and face a Boston team that has won nine of their last ten. Even with all the injuries and turmoil, they rank 14th in offensive rating.
I think this total is too low with how Boston is playing look for points to be put up here. The Nets still have enough offensive weapons to keep up with them.
