Celtics Home Win Streak At Risk

In a potential preview of the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics will host the Denver Nuggets for their first meeting of the season. Boston remains the best team in the NBA at 32-9, while Denver is 3rd in the West at 28-14. The Celtics are the first and only team to reach 30+ wins, and incredibly, Boston remains unbeaten at home. The Nuggets are hoping to become the first team to win in Boston, but at 20-0 at home, the Celtics are clearly the favorites.  

I’m expecting the reigning champs to give the Celtics a run for their money, and while a winner is tough to predict, it’ll be a high-scoring game. It’s the first meeting between the two title contenders, but last year Boston and Denver went over 232.5 total points in both matchups. These are two high-powered offenses, with Boston averaging 120.9 points per game and Denver averaging 116.3. Neither side is dealing with a key injury, and will be at full strength. In a postseason-like atmosphere, both Boston and Denver are looking to make a statement, and will be at the top of their game. I can’t wait to see how this one plays out, but for now expect a highly entertaining, high-scoring affair.
