Both of these teams made significant trades during the deadline. Both moved one of their top players for another top player in return.
The Nets perhaps made the trade of the year trading James Harden for Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round draft picks.
The Wizards traded Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans to Dallas in exchange for a Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick.
The Nets and the Wizards have completely different expectations this season though. The Nets are seen as title contenders if not title favorites while the Wizards are four games under .500 and 11th in the East. Do not expect them to be in the playoffs.
I think this number is a bit too small. Even though Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons will all be out for this game I think this Nets team is good enough to cover this number. The Wizards are not playing well and have lost seven of their last ten. Plus the Nets killed the new-look Kings by 24 points.
