Can Caleb Martin Bounce Back?
For our prop in this game I really like the over in Caleb Martin’s points. Martin has been balling in the postseason and almost stole away Eastern Conference Finals MVP from Jimmy Butler as he lost the vote 5-4. In game one of the finals, Martin and other Heat role players really struggled on the offensive side of things. Caleb Martin and Max Strus, both starters, started the game a combined 0-15. I think Martin is due for a huge bounce back game now that the jitters are gone. We are witnessing the birth of a star here and it seems defenses have no answer for him at the moment. Caleb played horribly but all his misses were wide open looks. I’m sure he dares the Nuggets to give those looks again. He averaged just 9.6 points in the regular season but in the Eastern Conference Finals he averaged 19.3 points and 6.4 rebounds on a red hot 60% shooting percentage and 49% three point percentage. The Nuggets should have their hands full with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo and I think that allows Martin to score points.
