The Celtics will be taking on the Knicks in this game. The Celtics and the Knicks have both had pretty successful seasons up to this point. The Celtics have obviously had the most successful season out of the two. They are the best team in the NBA right now. They are 44-17 on the season and the one seed in the East but they are starting to face their first bit of adversity as the Bucks have now won 14 games in a row and are just half a game back of the Celtics. The Celtics are still cruising along though. They have won eight of their last 10 games and three games in a row. They now face a pretty brutal stretch of five games that should provide some insight on if they will hold on to the top spot. That one seed is very important as it will decide who will host a game seven if need be in the playoffs. The Celtics would love to have it. 

The Knicks are having a pretty good season behind Julius Randle and new addition Jalen Brunson. Brunson is averaging 23.7 points and 6.2 assists this season while Randle is averaging 25.1 points and 10.6 rebounds on the season. This dynamic duo has led the Knicks to a 35-27 record. They are on fire right now having won five in a row. This is much needed as they are the sixth seed in the East and the sixth seed is very important considering the seventh seed and lower play in the Play In tournament. They are 2.5 games ahead of the seventh seeded Miami Heat. The Knicks are also 8-2 in their last ten games. 

I like the Celts here. I know the Knicks have won five in a row and are at home in this one but I am going to go with the superior team in this one. The Celtics still have Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum leading the way for them as they average almost 60 points a game combined. The Celtics have also blown out the Knicks in two of the last three matchups. In the last three games between these two the Celtics have outscored the Knicks 349 to 313. The Celtics are the one seed and know how important every game is to keep them atop the East. I just think the Celtics are too talented to drop this game in Madison Square Garden. The Knicks just don’t have the firepower to keep up with them. I think Tatum and company pull away late.
