The 76ers and the Heat will be taking each other on in this game that both teams would love to have considering they are both coming off of losses. The 76ers are coming off of a brutal loss. Despite Embiid having more then 40 points in the game the Sixers lost on a Jayson Tatum three pointer with less than three seconds to play. What made it even worse was that Embiid then hit a ¾ court shot to tie it back up. After review though the shot was late and Embiid and the 76ers went home with a loss. They are now 39-20 on the season. They are still just four games back of the one seed in the East and best record in the NBA. Harden and Embiid are leading this team and they are trying to become legitimate title contenders. Embiid is also still in the thick of the MVP race and he should be making a push here towards the end of the season. 

The Heat are not having the season they envisioned after making it just one shot from the Finals last season. They are 32-29 on the season and have now lost two straight games. The Heat have three players all averaging over 20 points in Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and Jimmy Butler. This team definitely has some potential to be a top team in the league but they just aren’t playing very well right now. They did make a big play by signing Kevin Love to a deal after he was bought out by the Cavaliers. This should add some spacing and shooting to the team that ranks in the bottom five of three point shooting percentage this season. This team has struggled so much because they just cannot knock down their threes. They are coming off of a horrible loss to the Hornets who are a bottom five team in the NBA. The Heat have one of the best defenses in the league this season as they are only second behind the Cavaliers in points allowed per game but their offense is severely lacking as they rank in the bottom five of points per game. 

I actually like the Heat in this one. I know the Heat are probably a bold pick in this one but the Heat are exactly the type of team to come out here and somehow pull off a win. The Heat this season have usually played up or down to the level of their opponents. The Sixers are coming off of a brutal loss. Another thing I see in this game is that the Heat are a desperate team. The Heat are now 2.5 games back of the Play In tournament and they desperately want to avoid that. The Sixers are still sitting pretty at the three seed and there isn’t as much urgency to win in theses last 20 or so games. Go with the Heat here.
