This game has “stay away” written all over it. This is a matchup between two of the worst teams in the NBA who sit in the 11th and 13th seeds respectively. Games like this are typically ones that I tend to stay away from, because they seem to be less about which team will win and more about which team will lose. Despite this, there is value in a prop pick I love in this game. 

The Washington wizards came into the season with a bleak Outlook on what the season could hold and it got even worse when their best player, Bradley Beal went down with a wrist injury that put an end to his season. The team is trying something new though and treated for Kristaps Porzingis at the trade deadline after trading Montrezl Harrol. They understood that they were an undersized team and went and got who they felt they needed.

The pieces are also in a similar position. They were a struggling team in need of a big move and so they made a trade at the trade deadline. They acquired Tyrese Halliburton, the young star from Sacramento, in exchange for Justin Holiday and Domantas Sabonis. Halliburton is already showing that he can be a star on this Pacers team. In his two games with this team he’s put up 22 and 23 points along with one game having 16 assists. 

The wizards ranked 23rd in the NBA in defensive efficiency and allowes 109.9 points per game. Although this is only Tyrese Halliburton second game as a Pacer, he has played 40 and 41 minutes in each of his two games. It seems the team is already willing to give him the reigns, and because of that this makes our expert pick a clear one.
