Best 2-7 seed matchup ever?
The Celtics had the best second half of any team this season other than the Suns. They played great basketball but they aren’t being rewarded too well. They now have to face what is possibly the best seven-seed of all time in the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have two of the NBA’s top 15 players in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The Celtics also lost their defensive anchor in Robert Williams.
The Nets are coming off of a Play-In win over the Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are averaging over 57 points per game combined. Plus, Ben Simmon is rumored to be returning at some point this series, he is targeting game four.
I think this line is going to entice a lot of people to take the Nets to win this game outright. I think the Celtics will win this game. They are the two seed in the Eastern Conference for a reason. Tatum and Brown lead the NBA’s best defense and should get it done on the offensive end too.
