Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets: Game Prediction
The Denver Nuggets won the championship last season and are looking just as dominant this year. The Nuggets are in the 2nd seed and there is little doubt from NBA fans that they will not stay in the top 3 come playoff time. Nikola Jokic and company are a great all around team and will be as long as their core group stays together under Coach Michael Malone. Denver will look to continue their win streak as they stay in the west coast for the next couple of games.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are the most interesting team in the league right now. They are not supposed to be as good as they currently are. The Thunder are currently ahead of schedule in their rebuild and still have a plethora of picks to use as assets which makes this team very scary. However, OKC is currently in a slump with a two game losing streak. OKC is very strong at home with their 17-6 record. This would be a great game for the Thunder to get back on track if they beat a great team like the Nuggets.
Both of these things are having extremely impressive seasons and will finish near the top of the Western Conference. A game like this could determine the seeding in a few months. The young Thunder roster has done a great job of finding ways to win with great defense and all star starting level play from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The chemistry and talent that this team has at such a young age is extremely impressive, but since they are in a slump right now, I have to go with the veteran Denver Nuggets. The Denver Nuggets are one of the scariest teams in the league and are too consistent. I believe that in this Wednesday night matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Denver Nuggets will win this game on the road and will keep their impressive run going. The Thunder will bounce back from the blowout loss to the Pistons without Cade Cunnighman and keep this game close covering the spread, but will ultimately lose the game to Denver. Both of these teams have electrifying offenses, I like the over in this battle of the west.
Moneyline Pick: Denver Nuggets (+110)
ATS Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder (-2)
O/U Pick: Over (231.5)
