A Monster Game | Lakers vs Bulls | OSB
Lakers vs. Bulls
The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to the United Center to face the Chicago Bulls in a matchup where both teams are in desperate need of win (8:00 p.m. ET). The Lakers are looking bounce back from their 118-108 loss against the Bulls on Sunday. Before that game the Lakers were red-hot on a three-game winning streak. Los Angeles has now won three out of their last five games. Meanwhile, Chicago is looking for the same thing after their 124-112 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. The Bulls are looking to do the same thing again and pull out a win against the Lakers.
Los Angeles Lakers Basketball
With a 37-38 record on the season and a 22-24 record in conference play, the Lakers are in ninth place in the Western Conference standings. Los Angeles has been shaky recently with a 6-4 record in their last ten games. The Lakers are currently in the playoff play-in game as they are tied neck and neck with the Oklahoma City Thunder for ninth and tenth place. In order to get an edge on the Thunder they will have to fix their problems on the road as they are 16-20 as the away team.
The Lakers have a bunch of talent on their team that have been balling out this year. Los Angeles has been led by LeBron James this season. James has only played 48 games for the Lakers, but in those games he is averaging 29.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. Also, Anthony Davis has had trouble staying on the court this season, but when on the court he is averaging 25.9 points and 12.4 rebounds. Dennis Schroder has stepped up this year for the lakers playing in 61 games and averaging 13.0 points and 4.6 assists.
In their loss against the Bulls at home, James led the way off of the bench finishing with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Troy Brown Jr. had a great game finishing with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Davis did his thing finishing with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Lakers could not stop the duo of Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. In the loss, the Lakers shot 50.7% from the floor and 36.1% from the three-point line.
Chicago Bulls Basketball
With a 36-39 record on the season and a 25-23 record in conference play, the Bulls are currently in tenth place in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls have been red-hot as of late with a 7-3 record in their last ten games. Chicago desperately needs a win as they are just barely in the Playoff play-in game. Lucky for them they have been good at home as they are 20-17 in the United Center this season. Look for them to continue their dominance at home and move up to the eighth or ninth seed potentially.
The Bulls have been led by Zach LaVine, who leads the team in points. LaVine is averaging 25.1 points a game this season. DeMar DeRozan has been helping out LaVine this season averaging 24.9 points and 5.1 assists a game this season. Big man Nikola Vucevic has also stepped up this season averaging 17.5 points and 11.1 rebounds a game.
In their loss against the Clippers, LaVine led the way finishing with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. DeRozan also had a monster game finishing with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Vucevic did his thing finishing with 20 points and 8 rebounds. The Bulls could not stop Kawhi Leonard and Eric Gordon on the Clippers. In the loss, the Bulls shot 53.7% from the floor and 39.1% from the three-point line.

Lakers vs. Bulls Prediction
I love DeMar DeRozan in this game. Against a weak Lakers defense I think he has a monster game. I think DeRozan goes over 33.5 total point + assists + rebounds with just points and assists. Last time these two teams played each other this season DeRozan combined for 33 total points, assists, and rebounds. Plus, some of his points were stolen because Zach LaVine had a monster game. I love DeRozan to go over this total.
Lakers vs. Bulls Pick: DeMar DeRozan over 33.5 Toatal Points + Assists + Rebounds (-109).
