The Nuggets will visit the Cavaliers here in a big game for the two teams. They are 41-18 on the season and have been the number one seed in the West for a good amount of time now. They are five games ahead of the second place team and eight games ahead of the third seed. They are obviously coming off of the All Star break but coming into it they had won three games in a row and seven of their last ten games. They are just one game back of the Celtics for the best record in the NBA this season. They are led by Nikola Jokic who is the frontrunner to win his third straight MVP this season. He is averaging 24.7 points per game, 11.5 rebounds, and 10.1 assists on the season. He is clearly a top three player in the game right now and the Nuggets are wondering if that will finally translate to some playoff success. 

The Cavaliers are one of the most well balanced teams in the NBA. They are now 38-23 on the season and are only five games back of the first seed in the East. The team is led by their offseason acquisition Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell is one of the premier talents in the NBA and he leads the Cavaliers into the homestretch averaging 27.3 points on the season. They also have a premier frontcourt with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley who are both great defensive centers and make life tough for opposing teams. 

I like the Cavaliers here. I think this line is kind of a trap. The number one team in the West is not favored against the Cavs here because of how well they matchup with the Nuggets here. The Nuggets rely on their superstar Nikola Jokic and with the Cavaliers frontcourt being this tall and great on defense they should help limit Jokic. Another thing to look at is just how good the Cavaliers have been at home this season. They are 25-6 at home compared to just 13-17 on the road this season. Adding to this they are a ridiculous 20-10-1 ATS as the home team this season and they are at home in this one. I think the Nuggets struggle to score the ball against this Cleveland team that ranks first in the NBA in points allowed this season. So take the Cavaliers in this one.
