Make no mistake about it – the Cleveland Cavaliers’ defense represents a genuine puzzle for the Golden State Warriors to solve. And this is something that is not going to come easy, even IF Stephen Curry starts to really find his range for all 48 minutes of the game. The more he has the ball in his hands, the more he is going to attract some crazy attention on the part of the Cavaliers, and that it’s going to be up to some of his teammates to get the job done. So far, BetAnySports customers have not seen that happen.

Tuesday night’s game represented a situation where Golden State got itself into a hole early, then expended a lot of energy coming almost all the way back from it, but ran out of gas when it counted most. The Warriors put together a 36-point fourth-quarter, which represented one more point in they had scored in the two quarters prior to that. They almost erased a 20-point deficit, and did so with some second-half heroics on the part of Curry, the league MVP, who had scored only three points in the first half but followed that with 24 points in the second.

But in the end, Cleveland was not going to be denied. Once again, they dictated the pace of the game and managed to keep Golden State off the free-throw line, while hitting a respectable percentage of their three-pointers and getting another extraordinary effort out of Lebron James. So far, Lebron has averaged 41 points in this series, and it is clear that the Warriors do not have a defensive answer for him, despite the presence of two NBA All-Defensive players Draymond Green on the front line.

Game 4 starts at 9 PM ET on Thursday, and interestingly enough, Golden State is the favorite on the road, as far as the odds at BetAnySports :

Everybody knows that Golden State has the most explosive pair of shooters in any backcourt in the league in Klay Thompson and Curry, who were the top two players in the NBA in terms of three-point shots made. Curry got his game going from long-range on Tuesday, going 7-13 from beyond the arc, even though it took him a while to get his motor running. The Cavs are still making him work extra hard for those opportunities, and Curry is very fortunate that he is such a great player moving without the basketball, because if he wasn’t, his team would be a lot more trouble.

Interestingly enough, since he took that big blow on the head against Houston in the previous series, Curry has shot below 38% from the field. Could there be something to that?
