Minnesota at Phoenix- NBA Tuesday Preview and Pick

BetAnySports Game Line: Minnesota -2

BetAnySportsTotal Line: 214.5

This Tuesday night’s NBA slate wraps things up with the Minnesota Timberwolves heading on the road to Talking Stick Resort Arena to face the Phoenix Suns in a 9 p.m. (ET) Western Conference clash between two teams looking to win a rare third game in a row.

Minnesota at Phoenix Game Preview

The Timberwolves recently knocked off the Los Angeles Clippers on the road and the Denver Nuggets at home as part of a straight-up 5-2 run in their last seven games. They have also been able to cover against the spread in five of those contests with the total staying UNDER in four of their last five games on BetAnySports’ closing line. Minnesota is 16-28 SU on the year with a 20-24 record ATS. Karl Anthony Towns once again proved why he is one of the top young talents in the NBA with 32 points and 12 rebounds in Sunday’s 111-108 victory against the Nuggets. Andrew Wiggins added 24 points to the winning cause. The Timberwolves are averaging 103.3 points per game on the year while holding opposing teams to 104.4 points a game on defense. They have been able to eclipse this scoring average in each of their last three games. Phoenix is another team that is buried in the West standings at 15-29 SU, but it does have a 23-21 record this season ATS. The Suns are coming off back-to-back victories (SU and ATS) against both New York and Toronto as road underdogs. The total stayed UNDER in both of those games after going OVER in their previous five outings. They are now 4-1 ATS over their past five games. When it comes to big nights, the Suns’ Eric Bledsoe had one of his biggest games of the year this past Sunday with 40 points, 13 assists and six rebounds against Toronto. Devin Booker went 5-for-8 from three-point range as part of his 20 points in that stunning upset. Phoenix is averaging 106.1 PPG and it has met or exceeded that total in six of its last seven games.

Both teams are playing some of their best ball of the season right now in light of two pretty dismal records overall. I am looking for the star power on both sides to step things up again on Tuesday night to help take this game OVER BetAnySports’ current 214.5-point total line.
