Yankees look to turn it around against desperate Twins
The Yankees are on the verge of one of the worst meltdowns in MLB history. They are 80-54 on the season. They are five games ahead of the Rays and six ahead of the Blue Jays. They are 4-6 over their last 10 games and need to focus up to win this division.
The Twins are in an extremely tight race right now. They are 68-64 on the season and are now tied for first place with the Guardians in the AL Central. While the White Sox are also just two games behind them. They have won six of their last ten.
This is a really low total. I know we have some good pitcher on the mound as Joe Ryan will be facing Gerritt Cole but I don’t know about this. Both of these guys are 10-7 this season and have similar ERAs as Ryan is at 3.88 and Cole is at 3.28. Ryan has not been good lately though. Over his last seven starts he is 3-4 with a 6.06 ERA. I think the Yankees may hit this over by themselves. Cole hasn’t been great either lately as he has been inconsistent.
